Active sidesticks in the supersonic T-50 Golden Eagle
Active sidesticks from WITTENSTEIN replace conventional control sticks and contribute to the performance and efficiency of the T-50 Golden Eagle supersonic aircraft.
Improving the performance of training aircraft
Active sidesticks are not only used in flight simulators to realistically simulate flight conditions. They are also used in aircraft for flight controls: One prime example of this is the South Korean T-50 Golden Eagle supersonic trainer for which WITTENSTEIN makes the active sidestick unit. Precision actuators make these sidesticks active and thus programmable. This enables, for example, the sidesticks of trainer and trainee to be coupled electronically so that both pilots accurately experience the maneuvers the other crew member performs with the sidestick.
